Abstract
Survey for the incidence of chilli wilt at pre-flowering, 50% flowering and final fruit picking stage was conducted in three districts of Kashmir valley viz., Srinagar, Budgam and Pulwama. The disease was prevalent in all the districts surveyed, with maximum Fusarium pallidoroseum population (37.4 cfu x 103 g−l soil) at 50% flowering and maximum Rhizoctonia solani and Phytophthora capsici populations at fruit picking stage (4.28 and 6.64 cfu x 103 g−l soil), respectively. Highest F. pallidoroseum population at 50% flowering was observed in district Budgam (38.9) followed by Srinagar (37.3) and Pulwama (36.0).
