Abstract
A field experiment was conducted at G. B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology Research Station, Bulandshahr during kharif 1993 and 1994 with 10 treatments viz., pendimethalin (pre-emergence) and fluchloralin (pre-plant incorporation) each at 0.75, 1.0, 1.25 and 1.5 kg/ha along with weedy and hand weeding at 35 days after sowingin which pendimethalin at 1.5kg/ha gave significantly higher grain yield over control and reduced weed density by more than 70 per cent.
