Abstract
The thesis is focused on a hardware virtualization support. The introduction defines the concept of virtualization, virtualization technology and its application in practice. In the next section of this thesis are presented the most widely used desktop and server virtualization solutions. Detailed attention deals with Hyper-V and VMware ESX and ESXi. It introduces the architecture, recommended hardware requirements and supported guest operating systems. The practical part aims at the HW setting procedures of virtualization support, installation of VMware ESXi and Windows Server 2012 Datacenter with role of Hyper-V. At the conclusion of these technologies are performed stress tests and evaluation of subsystems like CPU, RAM, HDD, NET and 3D graphical interfaces.
