Abstract
In order to reduce major congestion issues for commuters traveling into the City of Dublin during peak hours, this paper describes the benefits of using a combination of geometric designs, traffic models, and traffic signal controls. By using these innovative designs and controls, travel times into and out of the city have been drastically reduced. The VISSIM model shows how queuing levels have been drastically reduced for commuters.
