Abstract
Among the eight fungicides tested for their efficacy against Sclerotium rolfsii Sacc. under in vitro conditions cheshunt compound from non-systemic and hexaconazole (Contaf) form systemics were found to be most effective in reducing the growth of the pathogen. All the non-systemic and systemic fungicides completely inhibited growth of S. rolfsii at 1000 and 500 ppm concentration, respectively. Of the three fungicides tested under glass house conditions as soil drench, hexaconazole (Contaf 0.1%) was highly effective in controlling the disease followed by triadimefon (Bayleton 0.1%).
