Abstract
ABSTRACT The presence of adrenal bodies in Xenopus laevis has long been a controversial point. Although these bodies are present as well-defined, yellowish masses in the kidneys of most Amphibia, morphologists have usually stated that none can be demonstrated in the kidneys of Xenopus (5). To account for this absence, other workers have sought for accessory adrenal glands, but their search has proved fruitless up to the present.
