Abstract

Field experiment was conducted at the farm, College of Horticulture, Mandsaur during rabi 2007–08. Sixteen-treatment combinations were laid out in factorial randomized block design with three replications. The result revealed that 10t FYM/ha + 45: 75: 60 kg/ha NPK + Rz+PSB culture showed significantly maximum plant height (65.87 cm), number of leaves per plant (157.90), number of pods per plant (26.40), number of seed per pod (7.01), yield (26.54 q/ha), Net income (Rs. 135741.7) and B: C ratio (1: 6.78) followed by 20t FYM/ha + 30: 75: 40 kg/ha NPK + Rz+PSBculture (61.07 cm, 140.40, 25.53, 6.80, 22.70q/ha, Rs.1 11159.0 and 1: 5.44) respectively. Combination of organic manure, bio fertilizer and inorganic fertilizers were important to improve the growth and yield attributing characters.
