Abstract
Studies on karyotype were made on 2 Jersey and 6 crossbred (3/4 Jersey x 1/4 Red Sindhi) bulls maintaned at the Intensive Cattle Development Project, Khanapara, Guwahati. The diploid number of chromosomes was found to be 60 in both the genetic groups. The normal karyotype was characterized by 29 pairs of acrocentric autosomes of continuously decreasing length, the second largest submetacentric X-chromosome and the metracentric Y -chromosome occupying a position between autosomes 26th and 27th No significant difference in the relative length of chromosomes between genetic groups was observed.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
