Chemical Composition and Nutritive Value of Gogun (Saurauia Napalensis) Tree Leaves

Abstract

Fresh Gogun (Saurauia napatensis) tree leaves were fed as sole feed to 4 adult Siri x Jersey bullocks for 30 d. The voluntary intake of DM from Gogun leaves was 1.70 ± 0.07 kg/100 kg live weight/d. DCP and TON contents of Gogun leaves were 10.04 and 50.48 per cent, respectively on DM basis. The balances of N, Ca and P were positive.
