V. M. Akimov, Starik,D. E.

Open publisher page 1 citations

Abstract

The report relates to the development of contemporary concepts of reliability and service life of aviation gas-turbine engines (GTE) and to an examination of the technical and economic aspects of the problem of ascertaining and increasing engine service life. The basic criteria of evaluating reliability of GTE are examined and the principles of approaching the solution of questions of ascertaining service life taking economic factors into account are examined. Methods of evaluating the economic efficiency of increasing service life and reliability of engines are discussed and an analysis of the dependence of expenditures for series and repair work on the length of service life is presented.
