Abstract

The focus of the trade facilitation is made thourhg this paper but beyond the ongoing multilateral trade negotiations. The lnkages between the trade facilitation and preferential trade agreement is also discussed.The rule of origin in PTAs, whose complexity and lack of harmonization across a growing number of overlapping agreements in the Asia-Pacific region is seen as an increasingly significant impediment to trade.
