Abstract
A field experiment was undertaken to assess the effect of conjuctive use of organic inorganic and biofertilizers, or the productivity of castor under rainfed conditions.The results indicated that applications of 50% R.O.F. (recommended dose of fertilizer) in conjuection with Azospirillum seed treatment and application of 25% N through F.Y.M. + Phosphours soulbilizing bacteria gave higher yield followed by 50% R.O.F. + Azosipirillum + 25% N through F.Y.M. than the rest of the treatments. It can be concluded from the present study that organic and inorganic fertilizers cannot completely substitute bio-fertilizers. However, conjuctive use of these fertilizers can sustain the productivity.
