Abstract
This thesis on the topic of bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings in the Czech Republic. In it´s first theoretical part it defines the concept and content of the insolvency proceedings, the principles, the concept of bankruptcy and parties to the proceedings, with an emphasis on the position of creditors. There are also defined different ways of resolving bankruptcy. There is closer definition of the position of creditors in the proceedings related to the characterization of claims that are filed in the insolvency proceedings. The practical part contains an analysis of the selected company and its position as a creditor in the insolvency proceedings against companys´debtors and effectiveness of insolvency proceedings.
