Abstract

Ten isolates of Trichoderma i.e. Trichoderma viride (five isolates), Trichoderma sp. (two isolates) and T. harzianum (three isolates) were tested against soil borne pathogens i.e. Sclerotium ro/fsii (groundnut stem rot), Macrophomina phaseolina (chickpea root rot), Fusarium udum (pigeon pea wilt), Fusarium moniliformae (sugarcane wilt) and Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici(tomato wilt) employing dual culture technique. T. harzianum isolate THO showed maximum per cent inhibition of mycelium growth of S. rolfsii (52.68%), M. phaseolina (76.67%), F udum (74.44%) and F oxysporum f.sp. Iycopersici (70.00%) while in the case of F moniliformae, T. viride isolate, TVKN showed maximum growth inhibition (73.33%).
