Causes of student absenteeism in professional colleges & its solutions

Student absenteeism is a crucial problem because it affects the students, educational institutions, family & society. Most of the students have less than 75% attendance and many researches have been conducted regarding short attendance of students yet the major objective of this paper is to supplement additional information on existing research for improving attendance rates in educational institutions and offer suggestions for administrators on how they can deal with problems of short attendance. In this study an attempt is made to find out the major causes of students absenteeism in colleges and try to find out the solutions of this problem.
