Abstract
The successful use of mediation as an extra option to arbitration for solving engineering and construction disputes is discussed. The advantages of mediation in comparison to arbitration are highlighted, suggesting that a suitable mediation process conducted with the help of an able mediator results in saving huge amounts of time and money in resolving disputes.
