Abstract

Researchers analyzed 1987 data on 2008 75% of children had access to a flush toilet) was basically the same for both urban and rural ares (31.5% and 33.3% respectively). Further the risk of stunting was the same in a high level of sanitation area whether or not they had individual access to a flush toilet. Thus sanitation should receive the same attention and resources as water supply in water and sanitation programs whose goal it is to improve health. The importance of sanitation is universal. The most important goal and evaluation indicator should be achieving a community level of sanitation in which at least 75% of the people have access to sanitary facilities and uses them properly.
