Abstract
Rakshak fruit fly trap was found superior to bottle fruit fly trap. Maximum fruit flies were trapped when para-pheromones were replenished at one month interval, Bactrocera zonata in methyl eugenol baited traps and B. cucurbitae in cuelure baited traps were predominant when replenished at one month interval. Bottle fruit fly traps dispensed through cotton wick and replenished at 3 months interval proved most economical.
