Effect of Foliar Application of Urea on Yield and Yield Parameters of Mango

Two application of 4 per cent urea solution at the rate of 8 litre/tree during this period gave the highest average number of fruits and fruit weight. Foliar application of urea delayed fruit maturity and increased N content of leaves significantly. A depletion in N content in fully mature leaves of untreated trees from the time of fruit setting untill harvesting indicated the critical nature of this period.
