Abstract

The importance of the human resources in the achievement of strategy objcctive is \nthe service driven economy worldwide has brought dramatic changes in the \norganization relate with their employees. The operating environment for the energy \nsector has seen drastic changes characteriz ed by higher expecta ion of the \nstakeholders groups. Compared to the past the government donors \nwilling to inject funds in loss making parastatals and customers \nchallenge. However, there was no known research on internal marketing prractice \n \nin Kenya. This study sought to determine the extent to which KPLC practice \ninternal marketing. Further it sought to establish the challenges faced by KPLC ill tllf' \npractice of internal marketing .. \nThis was a descriptive study and the population of interest included the 277 \nKPLC staff in NJirobi region. The researcher sampled 100 employees \nproportionate stratified random sampling. Data was collected uusing the \nstructured questionnaire which was administered using the drop and pick luor \nmethod Seventy-seven of the sampled employees completed the questionnaire \nData was analyzed using descriptive statistics such as mean scores, frequencies \nstandard deviation and presented in tables and charts.
