Abstract

Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC) is the Government of India's (GOI) flagship programme for providing access to sanitation facilities in rural areas.Using government data, this brief reports on TSC trends along the following parameters:a) Allocation and expenditure,b) Physical progress of toilets built, andc) Nirmal Gram Puraskar Awards for achieving open defecation free status won.
