Abstract
Field trials were conducted during kharif 2007–08 for evaluating the bioefficacy and economics of insecticides against thrips in Bt cotton at the Department of Agricultural Entomology, M.A.U., Parbhani. The result revealed that acetamiprid 20 SP @ 100 g a.i./ha and thiamethoxam 25 WG @ 125 g a.i./ha were the most effective in controlling thrips and increasing yield. Economics of treatments revealed that acetamiprid 20 SP @100 ml/ha was the most economical with cost benefit ratio of 1:5.5.
