There was no evident r e l a t i o n s h i p between t h e operation of t h e Hanford r e a c t o r s and t h e numbers of f i s h spawning i n t h e Hanford reach of t h e r i v e r .Recent increases i n numbers of f a l l chinook spawners seemed more c l o s e l y associated with t h e construction of dams downstream and immediately upstrerun from Hanford, and t h e probably displacement of f i s h from t h e s e areas.Water temperatures were l e s s than 15O C during t h e peak of spawning, well within t h e upper tolerance l i m i t s f o r t h i s species.
