Tophic Tenosynovitis Induced Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Wrist Ulnar Neuropathy-A Case Report

Compression neuropathy induced by tophic tenosynovitis in upper extremity is uncommon. In one rare occasion of carpal tunnel syndrome, tophic tenosynovitis in the carpal tunnel have been found to induce median neuropathy as well as ulnar neuropathy in the wrist. After extensive removal of the tophic tenosynovial sheath and relief of the carpal tunnel and Guyon's canal, the patient over the following year recovered from the peripheral nerve compression syndrome.
