Abstract
A field experiment was conducted on loamy sand soils of at Agronomy Instructional Farm of C. P. C. A., S.D.A.U., Sardarkrushinagar to study the “Effect of dates of sowing, row spacings and varieties on growth attributing characters of rabi Indian bean (Dolichos lablab L.)” during 2012–13. Plant height was recorded significantly higher in variety Gujarat Val 1 when sown on 15th October at 30 cm row spacing. All the growth attributing characters such as number of primary and secondary branches per plant, number of nodules per plant, dry weight of nodules per plant, dry matter accumulation per plant at 30, 60 and 90 DAS as well asatharvest, days required to maturity noticed significantly higher when crop was sown on 15th October at 60 cm row spacing using variety Gujarat Val 1.
