Abstract
Three years' studies conducted from 1992 to 1994 on the evaluation of chlorimuron applied alone or as tank mixture with anilofos revealed that chlorimuron or chlorimuron based mixtures with ani lofos did not exhibit any added advantage in terms of weed control or paddy yield. During 1992 and 1993 the tank mixture of anilofos at 300 g/ha and chlorimuron at 8 g/ha provided similar paddy yield that obtained in plots treated with butachlor 1500 g/ha or anilofos at 400 g/ha. During 1994, the paddy yield following the treatment of chlorimuron or chlorimuron+anilofos or anilofos+2,4-D was significantly lower than the treatment of butachlor at 1500 g/ha or anilofos at 400 g/ha.
