Abstract
To use recombinant proteinSVLBP as diagnostic reagent and rabbit antiSEA PcAb as covering antibody, circulating antigen of Schistosoma japonicum in patients sera was detected by sandwich dot immunogold filtration assay(DIGFA). The results showed that the positive rates of patients with acute schistosomiasis and patients with chronic schistosomiasis were 100%(70/70) and 62.3%(99/159) respectively. All of 120 sera from normal population in epidemic area were negative, while 2 of 100 sera from nonepidemic area were positive. The rate of cross reaction with the sera of patients with paragonimiasis was 4.0%(1/25), there was no cross reaction with sera from patients with clonorchiasis. Sandwich DIGFA was not only easier to operate and rapid, but also sensitive and specific for detection of circulating antigens of schistosome. It is suggested that sandwich DIGFA is suitable for diagnosis of schistosomiasis in the basic units and field.
