Abstract
Bioassay of insecticides was done to determine their LC50 values against 3 to 4 day-old larvae of H. armigera in the laboratory of Department of Entomology, RCA, Udaipur by residue film method during 2008–09 and 2009–10. The lowest LC50 values of 0.00610 and 0.006163% was recorded for flubendiamide 480 SC during 2008–09 and 2009–10, respectively. It was 11.64 to 11.85x relatively more toxic when compared to the standard check endosulfan 35 EC. Based on the LC50 and relative toxicity, the tested insecticides could be arranged in a decreasing order of toxicity as flubendiamide 480 SC > indoxacarb 14.5 SC > beta-cyfluthrin 2.5 SC > lambda-cyhalothrin 5 EC > endosulfan 35 EC.
