Abstract
Effect of application of seven chemicals on soluble boron in saline-alkoli soils of Ghabdan series and Kotli Duman was studied. Application of amedments equivalent to 3 and 6 m.e./l00g soil respectively in Kotli Duman (Natric camborthid) a nd Ghabdan soil (Salic natraqualf) was necessary to reduce water soluble boron in these soils. Effectiveness of different salts in reducing boron solubility was; magnesium salts > calcium salts=ferrous sulphate > aluminium sulphate=sulphuric acid. Wetting and drying cycles did not effect boron solubility.
