Abstract
After months of several attempts to get Central Queensland University (CQU) management back to the bargaining table, in early March 2005 NTEU finally received a reply from Vice-Chancellor John Richard that the University would recommence negotiations on the conditions that staff accepts a final salary offer of 12% salary. After being denied a room for a general meeting of NTEU members, the meeting was held outside the Rockhampton campus.
