Abstract
The studies on rhizogenesis in pomegranate cv. Ganesh were conducted in relation to cutting thickness and time of planting. Three sets of cuttings were prepared and planted on 15 November, 15 December and 15 January. The cuttings were treated with 100 ppm IBA for 24 hr before planting. Cuttings with 0.8 – 1.2 cm diameter in thickness and planted on 15 November gave highest percentage of rooting success as well as root number and plant vigour followed by those planted on 15 January.
