Billions to trillions : Ideas to actions by Jim Yong Kim, President, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

This report discusses the remarks delivered by Jim Yong Kim, President of the World Bank. In collaboration with the multilateral development banks (MDBs), a special side event—Billions to Trillions: Ideas to Action—at the Third International Conference on Financing for Development in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This session is designed to showcase the issues, solutions and commitments of the regional multilateral development banks and the role of the private sector as we move forward in support of the post-2015 development finance agenda. The aim is to add a level of concreteness to the conversation on unlocking the resources needed to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He strongly focusses on new approaches and tools to help countries harness national resources more effectively, give voice to the private sector’s experience and highlight ways to strengthen the public-private nexus.
