Abstract

The absence of an Australian challenge in the last two \nAmerica's Cup has meant that yacht research within \nAustralia has had to scale down. Despite this the \nstrength and importance of the sailing industry has \nhelped to keep yacht testing advancing at the Australian \nMaritime College (AMC). The project "Investigation \ninto Re-Righting Tendencies of Modern Sailing Yachts" \nis one project which is now producing spin-offs for the \nentire field of sailing yacht research.
