Abstract

This test has studied the influence of natural zeolite and modified zeolites on the adsorption characteristic of Zn(superscript 2+) under the conditions of T=25℃ and low concentration of heavy metals. The adsorption isotherm of natural zeolite, modified zeolites to Zn(superscript 2+) were conformed to the Langmuir equation, the Freundlich equation and the Temkin equation. As for natural zeolite and modified zoelites, the correlation coefficients of Freundlich equation was the highest. The adsorptive capacity order of four kinds of zeolites to the Zn(superscript 2+) was NH4(superscritp +)-form zeolite>K-form zeolite>Mg-form zeolite>zeolite. The order related closely to the valences and hydrated radius of the coordinated cations.
