Abstract
Wide variation was observed among the 18 genotypes of Heliconia for vegetative and floral characteristics. Genotypes Lady Di, Sassy, Iris Banochi, Kawauchi and Macas Pink were observed to be ideal for cut flowers and can be recommended for commercial cultivation. Cultivar Golden Torch was observed to flower profusely and exhibited prolonged blooming and hence ideal for the landscape.
