Abstract
To assist planners, designers and managers identify, analyse and implement management strategies to minimise adverse impacts of land use change on receiving waters, an integrated suite of stormwater quality and streamflow models is being implemented. The AQUALM-XP package is being implemented under the EXPERT (XP) environment. The features of the AQUALM-XP model suite are described. The suite has two modes of operation. Under the EXPORT mode of operation the networked system generates runoff and pollutants exports on a continuous daily basis and routes these flows and pollutants through Gross Pollutant Traps and/or Water Pollution Control Ponds. The RIVER mode of operation routes the runoff and pollutants generated from the EXPORT model through lakes and river systems. It also calculates expected macrophyte and algal growths within river reaches and eutrophication states within the lakes.
