Abstract

The complexity of supply chains members in fullfiling their order make companies need to be robust with many threat that may disturb the supply chain. A wide variety of risks could disturb a supply chain from its operation strategies, risk financial, risk environmental, supply chain partner’s relationship, political and cultural practices, outsourcing to low cost countries, natural disaster, etc. With the increasing turbulent environments of supply chain configurations as a result of companies involving more partners in their operations, the supply chains are more exposed to risks, and hence it is imperative for them to have an effective management of supply chain risks. In this paper, we present a literature review to explore the development of theories of supply chain risk and uncertainty management. We assess and classify literature to identify opportunities for future research. A general issue will then be presented and opportunities for future works will be outlined
