Abstract: This paper proposes a method for indoor location that uses the results of trilateration of Wi-Fi signal strength to learn what is expected at specific locations. It discusses why indoor location is needed, and the reasons for using Wi-Fi networks as the basis of the location process. It also describes the problems with trilateration using radio signals, and introduces some proposals to improve the precision of the trilateration algorithm. 1.
