Abstract
Diagrams were plotted for quadruple systems ub 2/H/sub 5/) /sub 2/O at 25 deg C in rectangular coordinates showing the aqueous systems in rectangnlar co- ordinates and the ether system plotted as equilibrium magnitudes of distribution constants) for the total field of aqueous solutions. An isoconcentrate diagram of 1.5N HNO/sub 3/ for the quintuple system HNO/sub 3/-NH/sub 4/NO/sub 3/-- UO/ sub 2/(NO/sub 3/)/sub 2/-- H/sub 2/O-- (C/sub 2/H/sub 5/ )/sub 2/O is included. It is shown that nitric acid with a salting out reagent increases the extraction. (R.V.J.)
