Abstract
Field trials were conducted to manage yellow stem borer (YSB) population using carbofuran (3G), fipronil (0.3G) and cartap-hydrochloride (4G). The result indicated that the infestation of YSB was observed more by using carbofuran (3cg) i.e., 14.0 per cent than cartap-hydrochloride (4gr) i.e., 6.0 per cent. Variety of paddy Pant Dhan 12 gave 21.53 per cent more yield over check by applying cartap-hydrochloride (4gr) as compared to other insecticides.
