Abstract
It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 2013 ACM SIGMOD Conference on Management of Data, SIGMOD'13. This year the conference is being held in New York City, at the Millennium Broadway Hotel in the Times Square theater district. New York City provides a wide range of attractions, including world-class restaurants, theater, museums, and monuments, with a distinctive architecture and skyline. Many of the larger technical sessions will take place in the Hudson Theater, a real Broadway-style theater, which will give a local flavor to the conference. SIGMOD 2013 hosts an exciting technical program, with two keynote talks that reflect New York City's status as a major financial center,
