Abstract

The combination of diflubenzuron (0.0125%) and Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki (0.075%) at half of their recommended concentrations significantly reduced the larval and pupal weights, and prolonged the larval and pupal durations of S. litura. This combination has synergistic effect in resulting the highest larval (38.9%) and pre-pupal (44.4%) mortalities, and the lowest normal adult emergence (3.3%).
