Abstract

Diuron 5 kg/ha was sprayed during the first fortnight of March. Paraquat and glyphosate 4 kg/ha were sprayed in the second fortnight of March. Another spray of glyphosate and paraquat 3 k/ha was supenmposed on the previous treatments during second fortnight of July. All the herbicide combinations significantly reduced the weed population as compared to control. However, herbicide combination of glyphosate followed by glyphosate proved to be the best combination in checking weeds throughout the year. The fruit yield was also r:corded hlghest under this combination. The fruit quality did not vary significantly under dIfferent combmations.
