Abstract
The present experiment was conducted during 2004–2005 at Ch. S.S.S. (PG) College, Machhra, (Meerut) U.P., India to study the effect of nitrogen doses on growth and yield attributes of onion CV. Nasik Red 150 kg N/ha was found to have maximum height of the plant, maximum length of the longest leaf, maximum diameter of the pseudostem, maximum number of leaves per plant, maximum diameter of the bulb, maximum yield of bulb (q/ha) in comparison of lower doses i.e. 50 kg N, 100 kg N/ha.
