Abstract

The article utilizes statistical evidence to argue against a prevailing ruling within a case of Jewish law. “A Statistical Analysis of Iggeros Moshe, Orach Chaim 1:35.” discusses a psak halacha of Rav Moshe Feinstein Z TL regarding a bal koreh who erred in the laining of shabbos mincha. The statistical evidence demonstrates that had Rav Moshe been aware of such findings at the time of his psak, he might have reached a different conclusion.
