The Application of Location Quotient Analytical Method in Regional Industry Comparison--A case study on industries in southwestern and northwestern areas of China

Abstract

By introducing the basic theoretical basis of location quotient analytical method, this paper introduces the specific theory and formula of this method, and elaborates the unique traits of its application. Meanwhile, taking the industries in southwestern and northwestern areas of China as example, this paper explains the concrete process of application and its practicality. In the end, based on the results, this paper puts forward some suggestions as to the adjustment of industry structures in the two areas.
