Abstract
Conditions were found for the extraction-fluorimetric determination of europium and terbium in the total rare earth oxides. Determination is carried out in benzene solutions of diphenanthrolinetrisalicylate complexes of the elements. Europium is determined by a fluorescent band with the fluorescence maximum at 612 m mu , terbium by the maximum at 543 m mu . Spectra are recorded on a spectrograph with a photoelectric device, a mercury lamp is used as an ultraviolet radiation source. The determination is carried out by the method of additions. The sensi-tivity of the method is 0.1--0.2% of Eu and Tb in the total rare earth oxides. (auth)
