Maize Production in Bangladesh: Way towards Self-sufficiency

Since the establishment of the Bangladesh \nAgricultural Research Institute (BARI) in 1976, maize \nresearch developed eight composites and 11 hybrids \nof maize. Maize was introduced as a relatively new \ncrop in the rice-based agriculture of Bangladesh, \nespecially in the northern region.
