Abstract

An investigation was carried out to find the effect of spacing, bulb size and plant growth regulators on bulb production in tuberose at Horticultural College and Research Institute, Periyakulam during 2012–2014. The results of the study indicated that the bigger sized bulb (4.0–4.5 cm diameter) planted at wider spacing (40 x 20 cm) and spraying of GA3at 200 ppm produced higher number of bulbs/clump, number of bulblets/clump, bulb diameter and bulb length and higher bulb yield/ha was obtained in closer spacing (30 x 20 cm) with their combination in tuberose cv. ‘Prajwal’.
