Abstract

The messy wired world now becomes smooth and clean atmosphere, due to use of wireless technology (MANET). A Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET)[1][2][3][4][5][6][7] is a collection of wireless mobile nodes forming a temporary network without using any centralized access point or administration. Because of the mobility and unavailability of the centralized control, various types of attacks are possible in Mobile ad hoc network. One of the denial of service type of attack is flooding attack Detection of the flooding attack is very difficult because the malicious node uses the inherent feature of on demand routing protocols to launch the attack. In this paper we have reviewed TEF on detection/prevention algorithm.
